FABULOUS CLAIM.
Maharajah of Rewa Sued for £6,000,000,000. ALLEGED 150-YEAR-OLD LOAN. CALCUTTA, February 26. An amazing claim for £0,000,000,000 is being made against the Maharajah of Rewa, one of the ruling princes of Central India. The claimant is Lala Ganga Prasad Singh, a landowner in the State. The claim is based on an allegation that about 1-50 years ago Maharajah Ajay Singh, great-great-grandfather of the "present Maharajah, borrowed £10,750 from claimant's great-great-grandfatlier. A bond was executed but the money was never repaid. The debt, with interest, it is contended, reaches the enormous sum stated. Claimant bases his suit on the laws of the Rewa State, where the time limitation does not apply in cases for recovery of arrears from State subjects, j He has asked the State Government to permit him to institute a civil suit I against the Maharajah in the State | Courts for the recovery of the money. I
