SAVED 40 LIVES.
LONDON COSTER'S HOBBY. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 26. Patsy Hackett, a typical Lo7idon coster, who sells vegetables on a barrow, lives near the Grand Union Canal. He has already saved 40 people from drowning, mostly children. All his life he has been in the habit of patrolling the shores of the canal. He plunges in fully dressed when he sees anyone in trouble. He once rescued a suicide and two school children simultaneously.
