Stent, who broke 54 out of 50, and C. K. Hodge with 41 out of 42, nnd L. Peterson with 52 out of 50. The first seven-target match was divided by nino shooters, who ail secured the possible—J. C. Whitney (14yds). J. Miller (15yds), W. H. Wilson (14yds), M-. H. Tlsdall (llydsj, A. N. Bull (11yds), A. Hauigan (12yds), C. E. Hodge (10yds), L. P. Ramsey (19yds) and F. H, Seccombe (17yds). A 15-tnrget match, for a trophy presented by Mr. Thurlaw. resulted in a straight-out win for C. K. Hodge (10yds), with the possible, all being first barrels. The runners-up, each with 14 breaks, were F. 11. Seccombe (17yds), L. Peterson (18yds), U. F. Ramsey (10yds), A. N. Bull (11yds). L. .T. Henderson (15yds) and h. J. Stent (14yds). The first contest of the third series for the Walker and Hall Plate produced some keen shooting. ' Three finally tied with the possible of 15. viz.: L. Peterson (18yds), h. ,T. Stent (14yds) and C. K. Hodge (19yds). In the shoot-on" Hodge dropped out at the twentieth, the other two carrying on till Peterson missed (lie thirtyfourth, leaving Stent the winner. Position In D.C.U. Rose Bowl aggregate : V. H. Seccombe and L. Peterson level, with S-l points each.
