AUSTRALIAN AIRMAN.
MB. MELROSE ON AORANGI. The young Australian airman, Mr. C. J. Melrose, is a passenger on the Aorangi, and is proceed ing- by the vessel to America. Mr. Melrose, who, at the age of, 20, was the youngest competitor in the Centenary air race from England to Melbourne, and gained second prize in the handicap section. He refused to discuss his future nor give any idea of the object of his trip beyond stating that he expected to be away from Australia for a year. Mr. Melrose is accompanied by his mother.
