ROD AND LINE.
Americans to Try for Record Catches. VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. (Received 10.MO a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. Three Americans, Messrs. R. Poole, H. Rutherford and E. Williams, arrived at Brisbane en route to New Zealand aud Tahiti to try to beat the world's record for rod and line fishing. They are bringing with them a fast motor boat especially equipped and special tackle designed* to hold a fish up to 15001b.
