WELLINGTON GARDEN WEDDING. Tn the beautiful garden of Sir Francis and Lady Bell at Lowry Bay, a wedding of widespread interest took place on Saturday afternoon, when Caroline Margaret Feathereton (Cara), daughter of the Hon. Mr. Justice Johnston and Mrs. Johnston, of Christchurch, and granddaughter of the Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Bell and Lady Bell, of Lowry Bay, waa married to Percy Warwick, son of Mr. and Mrs. IF. P. F. Blundell, of Heretaunga, and grandson of Mr. Henry Bluudell, founder of the "Evening Post." An altar was placed under a large lime tree, and was surrounded with hydrangeas. The Rev. Father Milligan officiated. The bridal procession wended its way through trees and shrubs to the mueic of the wedding march from "Lohengrin," played by the. Wellington Regiment Silver Band. The bride, escorted by her father, wore an exquisite gown of magnolia satin, with a faint touch of pink in the colouring. Both the bodice and long train were inset with net, and at the waist[ine was worn a spray of pearl flowers. The train was of court length, and a tulle veil fell in billowing folds from a coronet of great flowers. A bouquet of magnolia toned roses, and a string of pearls sent from an aunt in England completed the delightful ensemble. The bridesmaids were Mioses Sheila MacOregor (Hastings), Penelope Blundell, Heather MacKenzie (cousin), Margaret Why to, M. Levin (cousin), and Priscilla Bell (cousin). There were also two small pages, Michael Bell (cousin), and David White (Mastorton), the former being the bride's train-bearer.

The attending maids' gowns of marietto were the exact colour of the bride's. Skirts were slightly trained, and trim; mod with bias frills from waist to hem at each side. The bodices, made with high shirred fronts and cape backs, were trimmed with tiny buttons. The waist at the back was outlined with folded and rosctted belts with long ends to the edge of the train. They wore wreaths of pearl flowers with jade green steins, and carried ropes of pastel pink polyantha roses wound round the wrists and falling to the end of the skirts. Little Priscilla Bell wore a Greenaway bonnet and frock of the same mariette with jade green sash and carried a Victorian posy of roses. The pages wore Greenaway suits with magnolia satin tops and long green satin trousers. Mr. Denis Blundell (brother of the bridegroom) was best man, and the groomsmen were Messrs. Denis Young, Peter Johnston, Ted Zolirab and Herbert Richardson (Christchurch). After the ceremony the guests had an enjoyable surprise in the singing of Ave Maria," by Signor Cesaroni, who was not in sight'as ho sang. As the bridal party returned to the house, the band played Mendelssohn's wedding march. The guests were received 011 the lawn by Sir Francis and Lady Bell, and the Hon. Mr. Justice Johnston and Mrs. Johnston, and then passed on to the bridal party to extend their good wishes. The wedding breakfast was held in a beautifully decorated marquee, and the health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by the Et. Hon. J. G. Coates.
