BY-ELECTION TO-DAY.
AUCKLAND POWER BOARD
Voting in the by-election to fill the vacancy" on the Auckland Electrical Power Board caused by the death of Mr. John. Rowe, is taking place to-day. The candidates are Messrs. D. Donaldson, G. G. Ashley, P. H. Hayward, S. W. House, W. J. Jordan, W. H. Murray, and E. S. Pegler. Only ratepayers who are enrolled in the electors' roll in their own right are eligible to vote, and though a ratepayer may own property in more than one district, such ratepayer has only on© vote. The voting closes at G p.m. Polling booths have been arranged in the city, Ellerslie, Howick, Manukan, Manurewa, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, Newmarket, Onelmnga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, Panmure, Papakura and Papatoetoe districts.
