SUNG EUCHARIST.
ST. THOMAS' CHURCH. There will be the usual Sung Eucharist on Wednesday, January 30. in St. Thomas' Church, Freeman's Bay. This day is being increasingly observed in Anglican Churches throughout the Dominion, and it will be commemorated this year in more than twenty churches. The New Zealand Church Fellowship holds an annual "quiet day" on January •iO. This year it will be held in St. Paul's and the conductor will be the Rev. J. C. A. Cole, of Qu'Appelle, Canada. Although a young man, Mr. Cole has played many parts. He is a New Zealander and was in the Cathedral choir in Christchurcli. In the United States he was a motor engineer, a waiter, a detective and a house painter before he studied for Holy Orders.
