WORKS OF ART.
Hire-Purchase System Used In England.
TO ATTRACT MIDDLE CLASSES
(Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 13. An art. hire-purchase scheme is the latest idea, which is being carried out at a London exhibition of works of leading artists. Works-by Einstein, Augustus John, Sir D. Y, Cameron, Richard Sickert and other well-known artists are all obtainable, cither for cash or for a small deposit, plus monthly instalments. It is hoped thus to attract the middleclass art-lovers and purchasers who arc unable to offer large cash payments.
