SUNDAY SCHOOLS.
TWO ANNIVERSARIES. Celebration to mark the 76th anniversary of the Baptist Tabernacle Sunday school were brought to a conclusion on Wednesday evening. Three services were held on Sunday, when the minister, Dr. Alexander Hodge, was the preacher. The , school, under the conductorship of Mr. | Warnock Watson, rendered specially pre- i pared music. In the evening the church was crowded, and the preacher spoke of the value of youth work, presenting the Christian gospel as a challenge to young people. The offerings of the day for extension work in the school were generous. On Wednesday night a scholars' tea was held, followed by an entertainment which I was largely attended. The seventieth anniversary of St. James' Sunday school, combined with the annual flower service, will be held in St. James' Hall next Sunday. In the morning the preacher will be the Rev. R. Ferguson Fish. A Scottish preacher will conduct the evening service, and the Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour will conduct the afternoon service.
