BOUND FOR SUDAN.
MISSION FIELD CONFERENCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Bound for Sudan, Mr. W. H. Milner, Dominion secretary of the Sudan United Mission, will leave Wellington for Auckland on Sunday to join the Aorangi, which will connect with the Strathaird at Sydney. A confercnce is being called on the mission field and Mr. Milner will represent the Australian and New Zealand board at it.
So far the mission, which is the only one in the centra] provinces of Africa, lias been responsible for the entire educational work, and the Government has proposed the opening of training schools staffed with Christian teachers, thus releasing the missionaries, /or more widespread evangelism.
