WAIHI COMPANY. PROSPECTING LICENSES. (By Telegraph.—Spccial to " Star.") WAIHI, this day. In the Warden's Court the Wailii Company applied for prospecting licenses covernig iu ail 155 acres formerly known as Amaranth and Golden Kim claims. The applications were granted. BLACKWATER AND CONSOLIDATED. INTERIM DIVIDENDS. The Stock Exchange litis received advice that tho directors of itlackwater and of Consolidated Mines, Ltd.. have declared interim dividends at the rate of 1/ and Od per share respectively (sterling). These arc the same rates as were paid last year. MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Talisman Dubho (Karangahake).—Talisman No. 1 level: Drive south advanced l ift, total 433 ft. The vein from -117 ft to 4'>3ft averages Sin iu width. The vein in the 'ace at 433 ft is 12in wide and well defined. Stoning: Ore was broken out from 198 ft south to 310 ft south from 'Oft to 55ft above t'ie level. The lode varies in width from 2ft to 94ft. Dubbo level: The lode was broken ovt and timbering completed for a length of 40ft at 200 ft north. Sloping lias seen started at this point. In the slopes' at :-\'»()ft north. 30L't above the level, the lode shows a great improvement in size, the clav formation being replaced with quartz rii oiaees «»ft wide, about half ot ? I lie quartz beintr saved and sent to the mill. Melntvrc's leader: The drive to the south advanced 14ft total 30tt, from tho main crosscut. The twoi \ems of quai tx in the drive each became less than an inch in width. Driving was suspended to put up a rise over the ni'ii'i crosscut for I lie purpose of exploring the veins overhead.
