NOISY CYCLISTS.
Can nothing be done to prevent the persistence of motor cyclists causing such distress and annoyance to lvsi-'.ents who are living on the Mount Eden Koad, especially between Balmoral Koad and Three Kings? The noise of these motor cycles, in particular at niglit, is very distressing, especially where there is sickness in the home. Some of these motor cyclists seem to delight in causing annoyance to people. Owing to the steep grade between Three Kings and Balmoral Road motor ey?h«jj often pass up and down at a rate of from 4U to 50 miles an hour. The noise of their exhaust is like a machine gun. and the speed set up by some of these road-hogs is a constant source of danger to pedestrians. Some: thiii"- will have to be done to eliminate tms evil ° and I would suggest that the traffic inspectors give particular attention to tins part of Mount Eden, and there should be «° difficulty in detecting these motor cyclists, who have no regard for life or limb, or tie interests of those who are ill. It should K imperative for motor cyclists to have silencers attached to their machines, and the sooner some of these culprits are caught' and m«< le an example of the better it will he for the comfort and safety of the public. A SUFFERER.
