INTERHOUSE—PUBLIC SERVICES. The Auckland Intor-house and Public Services Indoor Bowling Association concluded their champion pairs tourney for the Onehiinga Woollen Mills travelling rugs at the Druids' Hall, Xewton. Results of post-section play : — Fifth Hound. —11. Taylor and .T. Mitchell (Auckland Electric Power Board) 13, V. G Dronsfield and G. Day (J. Wiseman and Sons) 3 : W. Denisou and F: .Harris (Phillipps and linpey) 11. V. K. Tyndall and C. Taylor (.Motor Lorries' Association) 2; 11. Burton nnd E. De Suz,a (Smith and Cinighey) 7, v. .T. Hearllng and H. Morris (Milne and Clioyce) 4. Sixth Rounrl.—Mitchell, two-lifer, 13, v. Harris 3; De Suza 7, v. Day 0. Final, —Mitchell 9, v. De Suza 6. The winners'. H. Taylor and J. Mitchell, who arc probably the strongest pair playIng indoor bowls at the present time, put up a great performance in coining through Ibe post-section play without a loss, their only weak gamp being the last, in which they only scored three times, an unlucky shot by the opposing skip giving them a much-needed- six. The riinnere-up, Harry Burton and Ernest De Suza, the youngest players in the competition, both llrst-ycar players, put up a very creditable performance. They were only beaten by the winners, whom they met three times, once in the section, and twice in post-section play, and each time they made a better fight ot it. Both are level-headed ■ lads, and more should be heard of them. At the conclusion of the tourney the prizes won during the season were presented. The following is the prize list: — First Tourney.—Milne and Choyce's team (Jones, Rogers, Reynolds, McCarthy). Second Tourney.—Smith and Caughey's team (Holgate, Maingay, Dickson. Blencairn). Third Tourney.—Public Services' team (Rowe, Earle, McPherson, Stewart). Fourth Tourney (two nights).—Milne and Choyce's team (Dclaney, Robinson, Everitt, Otter); runners-up, Motor Lorries Association's team (Taylor, R. Tyndall, Cutler, J. Tyndall). Fifth Tourney.—Motor Lorries Association's team (Taylor, R. Tyndall, Cutler, J. Tyndall). Sixth Tourney.—Harbour Board's team (Bennett, Baker, Dixon, George). \ Seventh Tourney, Champion Pairs.— (Auckland Electric Power Board's team (H. Taylor and .T. Mitchell) ; runners-up, Smith and Caughey's teain (H. Burton and E. De Suza). At the conclusion of the presentations Mr. J. Otter, on behalf of the rank and file of the association, moved a hearty vote of thanks and appreciation of the splendid work of Messrs. Harris (president) and Day (secretary) and their committee, which was carried by acclamation.
