The conference of (lie Manufacturere' Association, which will he held in Wellington next week, will he opened by tlic Minister oi' Finance, Mr. Coatee. Among the proposals to be discussed will he the setting up of a permanent industrial commission and the provision of facilities to assist manufacturers in working out. in those industries where necessary, schemes for co-ordination, and other methods of further increasing the efficiency of manufacturing industries as a y/'liolc.
