GENERAL GODLEY.
BUSY TIME IN AUCKLAND. MANY FUNCTIONS ATTENDED. General Sir Alexander Codley is having a busy time in Auckland, and has already attended many functions. Yesterday morning he laid a wreath at the Cenotaph at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. Lady Godley was also present at the ceremony. Others present included General Sir George Richardson, Mr. J. W. Kendall, president of the Auckland branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association, and members of that body. This evening the general will attend a reception in the Scots Hall to be given by a number of societies, including the Returned Soldiers' Association, the Old Contemptiblcs, the British Legion, the South African War Veterans, and -the Ex-Service Women's Association. Among the prominent guests will be General Sir Andrew Russell, Brigadier-General Alexander Ross, of Canada, Sir lan Fraser, of St. Dunstan's, London, and the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C., vice-president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association.
