MANUKATJ CLUB'S OPENING. Tu a fresh westerly breeze and fine weather the Manukau Senior Model Yacht Club held their opening races on Saturday in Mill Bay. off the Esplanade, Onehunga". ' The president, Mr. J. Park, welcomed (he visitors and members and declared the season open. First Race (sweepstake).—Mavbe (11. Davies) 1. Kauri 11. (G. Park) 2, Hono (IT. Evans) 3. Second Race.—This was sailed over a triangular course for a trophy presented byMr. L. Rctler Falcon (Gordon Broun) 1, Hono (H. Evans) 2, Kauri 11. (G. Park) .'!. A very close finish between second and third boats. Third Race-—Hono (H. Evans) 1, Maybe (H. Davies) 2. Falcon (Gordon Broun) 3. Messrs. J. Duthic and S. Bishop were ofliccrs of the day.
