DINNER TO TREVOR HALL.
The Newton Rangers Club last evening tendered an enthusiastic farewell dinner at the Hotel Auckland to Trevor Hall, who is leaving Auckland early to-morrow by the Remuera, en route to England to play for St. Helens. Mr. J. A. Mason, the chairman, 011 behalf of the club, presented Mr. Hall with a substantial gift, and Mrs. H. M. Matthews, chairman of the ladies' committee of the club, handed to Mrs. Hall a suitable token of esteem. Mr. Roy Baddilcy, club captain, made a presentation 011 behalf of the Newton players. Trevor Hall said lie could not have been more grandly honoured, and whatever success he achieved he would count as reflecting 011 New Zealand, which had laid his foundation as a player.
