CROWN TENANTS.
POSTPONEMENT OF RENTS. CROWN LEASE REVALUATIONS. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. To assist Crown tenants during the depression period the Minister of Lands has been empowered from time to time to extend the period during which he may grant the postponement of rents. The Lands Empowering Bill, which was introduced in the House of Representatives to-night, proposes further to extend the period of postponement till June 30, 1930, and gives the Minister similar authority to postpone revaluations of Crown leases.
