TURF CARNIVAL.
• TROTTING AT EPSOM. WORTHY LIGHT HOME AGAIN. WAIKATO PRINCE AND LUCKY LOVE WIN. Besides the running of the final programme of the Auckland Trotting Club's spring meeting, there are eight other turf gatherings in the Dominion to-day— races at Cambridge, Gore, Waverley, Waipawa, Trentham and Rangiora; trotting at Greymouth and Oamaru.
There is a large attendance at Alexandra Park, and another fine afternoon kept the course and appointments in excellent condition.
Waikato Prince won the Green Lane Handicap from Grand Triumph and Autumn Lu.
Lucky Love, Star Pronto and Nelson Luvan paid the dividends in the Newmarket Handicap.
The principal event went to Worthy Light, with Willie Derby and Kewpie's Triumph in the minor places. The first three winners at Trentham were Illuminate, Palm and Hunting Lodge.
Realty defeated Glandore in the Junction Handicap, with Hohoro in third place.
