AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. Officers elected at last night's annual meeting of the Auckland Surf Life-Saving Association:—Patron, Mr. G. W. Hutchison; president, Dr. T. 11. Pettit; vicepresidents, Messrs. R. Johnston, A. McGregor, with the addition of each president from affiliated clubs; secretary, Mr. H. C. Sidford;- assistant-secretary; Mr. K. Kear; treasurer, Mr. 11. Moor; registrar, Mr. K. Kear; instructor-in-chief, Mr. H. P. Congdon; publicity. Mr. C. J. Sidford; medical officers. Drs. T. H. Pettit, Watson, Garfield . Stewart, Stewart Mackay; timekeeper, Mr. A. Dicker; gear committee, Messrs. B. Faulkner, Webb, S. Higgins, W. Elwarth, F. Marriage; committee, Messrs. F. Langley, A. Gardiner, J. Griffith, R. Johnston. An effort on the part of Mr. A. Gardiner, captain of the Brown's Bay Club, to <jet clubs in the Auckland province to adopt a special and exclusive costume to be used for the patrols on duty, created considerable discussion, ill - . Gardiner stated that . if clubs were uniformly dressed when on duty no difficulty would be experienced in 1 recognising surf in on and the movement would gain a similar recognition to the St. ! John Ambulance. The matter was referred to the individual clubs for support.
