MAYOR GIVES CASTING VOTE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WAIHI, Thursday,
Opposition was forthcoming at a meeting of the Borough Council last evening in respect to an application by the Auckland Aero Club for permission to hold an air. pageant in Woolford's paddock, on the Waihi Beach Road.
Members considered that in giving the club control of portion of the road the rights of the public would be encroached upon.
The application was granted, on the casting vote of the Mayor, Mr. W. M. Wallnutt.
