HEAVIEST IN WORLD.
New South Wales Taxes Amount To £19 9/4 Per Head. FIGURES FOR LAST YEAR. (Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. At the annual meeting of the Taxpayers' Association of New South AVales, the president, Mr. S. McKellar White, said that New South Wales is the most heavily taxed State in the world. The combined Federal and State taxes for the year ended June 30, 1033, in this State amounted to £15 10/1 per head, which did hot include municipal and local rates, which averaged £3 10/3 per head.
