TO-NIGHT'S TOWN HALL MATCH. At the Town Hall to-night a special wrestling attraction is being put on in .the first appearance in the ring in New Zealand of the ex-world champion Gus Sonnenberg. His opponent is Dean Detton, and as both are famed for their speed and dash, the bout is expected to be an exhilarating one. An excellent amateur programme will precede the professional bout. DETTON BEATS BROWNING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. In one of the most spectacular exhibitions of wrestling seen in Wanganrti, Dean Detton defeated Walter Browning here on Saturday by two falls, secured in the fourth and seventh rounds, to one, Browning securing his fall in the sixth round. The match from beginning to end was fast and exciting, and at the conclusion the crowd showed its appreciation in no uncertain manner. BOUTS IN AUSTRALIA. SYDNEY, September Ifi. At the Sydney Stadium last evening in a wrestling bout Dan Koloff. the giant Bulgarian, defeated the Japanese, " Oki Shikina, in the third round, after only 15 minutes of actual wrestling, by two falls to none. The Japanese was unable to continue. Tom Lurich defeated Joe Dawson by two falls to one in a wrestling match at the Leichhardt Stadium.
