CHURCH BEQUESTS.
DUNEDIN RESIDENT'S WILL APPROXIMATELY £12,000. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Sunday. Under the will of the late Mrs. Caroline Rankin Wilson, daughter of the late Captain Sundstrum, of Christchurch, the Church of Christ, Dunedin, will, at the termination of certain life interests, receive the majority of the estate, which has been sworn for probate purposes at under £20,000. It is estimated that after the payment of several private bequests a residue of approximately £12,000 will be available for the religious purposes set out in the will. The private bequests concern people in New Zealand, Great Britain and the United States. , ; Details of the church- bequests, effective after the expiry, of life interests, are as follow:—Church of Christ, Dunedin, for the purchase of a pipe organ, the reduction of the debt thereon, maintenance or the salary of an organist, £1000; Church of Christ, Dunedin, social service work, £100; the council of the Associated Churches of Christ, New, Zealand, for the aged preachers' provi-1 dent fund. £100; the trustees of the I Church of Christ Bible College', Glenleith, j Woodhaugh, Dunedin. £100. I The balance of the residue is bequeathed to the Church of Christ, Dunedin, and is to be applied in accordance with the terms and directions already stated in respect of the purchase or maintenance of a pipe organ.
