No extra heavy prime eteere were penned. Heavy prime eteers ranged in price from £9 5/ to £10 5/; lighter, £8 2/6 to £9 211: light, £7 to £8: small and unfinished, £5 to £6 15/. Dalgety and Co., Ltd. Beef.—At our weekly Westfield fa I , stock market held to-day wir yarded ISO head of beef, comprising 17 steers and 173 calves and heifers, as against -262 head last week. The quality was again fiistclaes, and the small yarding accounted for the very keen demand and a sharp rise in values. Calves.—An average yarding of cal-es met with keen competition, and all clashes sold readily at-improved values. Runnere brought £3 to £4 5/j heavy vealers, £3 8/ to £3 18/; medium. £2; 15/ to £3 1'; light. £119/ to £2 6/; small, £1 12/ to £1 16/; rough calves, 12/ to £15/; bobby calvee, 2/ to 6/.
Alfred Bucktand and Sons, Ltd. Beef.—At our weekly Westfield fa: etock market held to-day we penned .at cattle to the number of 146 head, .-e against 203 at last week's market, comprising 85 steers and 61 cows and ueiiers. The' ox beef was of excellent, quality, but the entry was insufficient for requirements, and in consequence there was a shar-p rise in values.
