STAFF DANCE.
One of the most successful staff dances given tliis season was held last evening, when J. R. McKenzie, Limited, held its staff social annual ball, at the Peter Pan Cabaret. Shaded lights and cubicles, arranged in tones of golden flowers, added to the many pretty frocks worn by the large assemblage, gave a colourful tone to the function. The committee were: Mrs. E. Richardson, in black marta lace; Miss J. Drummond, white silk and lace; Miss D. Stone, black georgette and lace; Miss I. Spraggon, shell pink windswept satin; Miss M. Morloy, ivory crepe suede; Miss M. Neill, white silk net and satin; Miss M. Cory, white crepe suede, with ruflle trimming. Among those present were: Mrs. S. S. Bridgeford, black satin and diamante, French wrap; Mrs. Addison, pillar box red lace; Mrs. W. Giddings, rose pink ! satin; Mrs. M. Young, powder blue 'georgette; Mrs. D. M. Barham, ivory Chantilly lace; Mrs. I. Alae, black windswept velvet; Miss D. Griffen, ivoiy chenille velvet; Miss Giles, Licto blue crepe and rhinestones; Miss O'Hara, ceranium red organdie; Miss Scansie, white lace; Miss W. Stone, white satin and organdie frills; Miss Linwood, black satin bcaute, chenille coatee; Miss Gabriel, black sequinned frock; Miss McKinnon, apricot marocain; Miss Murphy, black lace; Miss Riley, kingfisher blue satin; Miss Bowen, white net and tulle; Miss Carroll, black satin and rhinestone trimming; Miss Evans, app'.e green marocain; Miss Gillespie, black windswept satin lame, Miss Church, salmon crinkle crepe; Miss George, pastel pink satin; Miss Beard, pastel pink satin; Miss F. Cory, midnight blue windswept satin; Miss Dorset, maroon windswept velvet; Miss Carsons, sunshine satin, diamante trimmed; Miss Smith, midnight blue satin; Miss Clarke, black chenille velvet; Miss Sainty, beige rose satin and lace; Miss Morris, blue crinkle crepe; Misa McGrade, opal blue lace; Miss M. Kennings, blue crinkle crepe; Miss M. Black, ivory pebble crepe. During the evening Miss Natalie and Mr. Matthew Stratton gave demonstrations of ballroom dancing, and Miss Gwen McNaughton also supplied some enjoyable dance numbers.
