KOLOFF TOO GOOD FOR DETTON.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. One of the best wrestling matches seen in Wellington this season was provided by the Bulgarian Dan Koloff (16.0) and the American Dean Detton (14.10) in the Winter Show Buildings last night. Detton took the first fall with a Boston crab in the fourth round. In the sixth round Koloff secured a fall with a headlock and aim press and won the bout in the seventh round with a press, following a crotch hold and dump. The contest was notable for its entire absence of showmanship, both men settling down to interesting and strenuous wrestling.
