DAVIS BEATS LINDRUM. SYDNEY, August 12. Maintaining remarkable consistency, Joe Davis, English champion billiardist, defeated Walter Lindrum (Australia) in their international match last evening. The final scores were:—Davis, 22,269, including breaks of 520 and 365; Lindrum, 21,091, including breaks of 409, 316, 525, and 398. The players will begin their second match in Melbourne to-morrow and the third in Sydney on September 10. )
