Ilolton (4.30). 47.30, 2: I*. Johnson (0.0), 47.37. 3; C. Caddy (0.43), 47.43. 4. Then followed W. Kircher (6.45), 45.13; E. Carr (Sin), 45.25. The fa.ste.st time was L. Hankin, 35.11; C. A large field of riders Btarted on Saturday in the 10-mile race over the hilly Birkenhead course. The race resulted : L. Denning (3.30), 51.33, 1: G. Williams (5.0), 53.18, 2; G. Evans i 0.30), 53.53, 3; A. Parker (2.0), 51.20, 4. Fastest time was gained by the junior champion Boss .Tones, who covered the course in 50.21 1-5.

The Papatoetoe Cycle Club held a 20-mile race over the Howick circuit for the Tradesman's Cup. Despite a strong head wind on the home stretch, fast times were recorded, the previous record of 56.57 being broken by 1.2. Results: L. Foubister (1.30). 57.12, 1 : M. Kara (4.30), 00.13, 2; R. Alexander (5.30). (U. 14. 3. Fastest time: S. Pinfold (scr). 53.55; second fastest, D. Pin-fold (1.0), 57.11.

The Auckland Ladies' Amateur Cycling Club held a special one-lap scratch race at rhc Mount Albert course on Saturday. There were'four starters, in this event, which was the first after the recess occasioned by the recent bad weather. The riders started at a medium pace against the wind, and coming along the ridge at the back were all close together. Entering the straight with a slight lead from Miss Phyllis Neil there were- three riders almost abreast, who kept so to within 20yds of the line, when Mrs. Harrison fell behind, and later on Violet Baird drew ahead of Ellie Swinburne. The time was 3.40.

The perfect conditions on Saturday brought forth pood fields for the Auckland Cycle Club's road events at Tamakl, and fast pedalling was witnesaed. The juniors raced over a distance of 5i miles, while the seniors held a 21-nnles handicap. .Tunior results: B. Harvey, 50s, 1; J. Bieknell. 1.45, 2; C. Sneller, 1.45, 3; K. Hcdlund, 2.40, 4. B. Harvey (50s) recorded fastest time in 15 55. Senior results: P. Lowndes (8.451, G5.21, and S. Fussell (8.45), fi5.21, dead heat. 1: W. Tratney (455). 3; It. Craig. (1.15), 4. W. Pratney (455), recorded fastest time in 58.22.

The Thames Cycling Club held a 24-mile race over the Thnmes-Kopu course on Saturday, the placed men being:—K. Kdkins (scr) 1, W. Burr (scr) 2, S. .Tones (7.30) 3. The fastest time was registered by K. Edkins, who covered the distance in 77.fi. The distance for next Saturday's race will be IS miles.
