PAKURANGA HUNT.

MEET AT EAST TAMAKI. The Pakurauga Hunt met at East Tamaki on Saturday and there was a good attendance. The weather was fine, but the ; going was heavy as the result of recent rain. Hounds were thrown off on Mr. Wynyard's property and after traversing Mr. W. Guy's farm went on to Mr. Cousin's land, where a hare was started. It took the hunt through Mr. B. Speechley's place and on to Mr. Hattaway's farm, where it doubled back to Mr. Speechley's and on to Mr. Bradbury's property. It again doubled back to Mr. Hattaway's and then I made off in the direction of Howick, where , it was lost. Starting off again on Mr. R. Hattaway's land, the hounds worked through to Mr; O. Phillips' farm and then on to Mr. Robert Hattaway's property, where a very strong hare was put up and the best run of the day. if not the season, resulted. I The hare crossed the road into Mr. W. I Guv's property and went on to Mr. R. Harris' farm. From there it crossed the Howick Road on to Mr. J. McOwen s farm. The hare then went on to Mr. McKay's property, and. turning, travelled lover the hills to Mr. M. Cox's farm. From Mr. A. Murrev's propertj it crossed the I road again to Mr. Robert Hattaway's and I then went on through Mr. 0. Phillips' farm. Crossing Mr. J. 1L Reilly's property and the Ridge Road to the \\ hitford Gorge, the hare was lost at this point and hunting was concluded for the day. The followers included. :—The master, Mr. 11.
