PENWOMEN'S CLUB.

On Friday afternoon Miss Eliza Camphell addressed the members of the Penwomen's Club on some aspects of her slay in London. She had the opportunity of hearing John Drinkwater give a reading of his own poems, and her impressions of Bernard Shaw, G. K. Chesterton and Lawrence Housman were particularly interesting. The speaker greatly admired the vitality of Miss Maud Royden's organisation at the Guildhouse. She was also privileged to hear both Dean Inge and his successor, Mr. Matthews, whom she met personally some years ago. The president, Mrs. Carr-Rollett, presided.
