Sluicing Company's claim (Naseby, Otago) states that tho pipeline should be completed about the end of August, enabling sluicing to commence la September. MANAGERS' REPORTS. King Solomon (Gore). —A lot of underground work has been (lone in different sections of the mine. Blocking out has been carried on in conjunction with the development of new areas. Development of the eastern area is opening up a large mass of fair grade wash. This area is to the west of the old Winding Creek claim. To the north another lead of payable wash is being prospected, and (be results have proved satisfactory. The direction of the drives gives the idea that eventually they will connect and thus prove the existence of a large belt of wash in the cast and north-east areas. Driving south lias been started and is difficult, being in line quartz. witli a flow of water from tho face. The direction of the drive conforms to the western bank of the riverbed which flowed down toward Wcudon, Tho drive will serve many purposes. Golconda.—The following is the weekly report: We continued the crosscut through Hie reef and have got what appears to be the liangingwall, The reef is 17ft wide at. the point crosscutted. The liangingwall is carrying pug which* is characteristic of the Cambria reef, annd a band of very bright pyrites, about Bln wide, is lying close to the wall. This is the best mineral we have yet seen in the mine and the indiactlons look promising for making values. We continued to drive ahead on the reef and are veering across so that we can follow the mineral hand that Is on the liangingwall. We advanced Oft, total from shaft 172 ft. It will take about another loft of driving to reach this mineral bnnd.
