MOUNT MORGAN PROGRESS.
During the two years ended June IS Mount Morgan, Limited, Queensland, produced 4f,StM)oz of gold and 783 toils of copper. The mine was reopened as the result of financial assistance by the Government, and tliis was repaid after a few months of operation. Dealing witli the position of the company recently, the Queensland Minister of Mines, -Mr. J. Stopford. said the mill power was being extended, and new machinery was being brought into use to replace partly-worn machinery. When the plan for better equipment was completed it would have the effect of cheapening to a greater degree the cost of production and treatment.
