Mrs. J. T. Fearnley, who has been on a visit to her sister, Mrs. W. Vosper, of Cambridge, has returned to Northcote.
Mrs. Manton, Mies Betty Manton, of Wellington, Mrs. A. F. Hickey, Lower Hutt, and Mrs. M. Dakeyne, Colombo, are at Hotel Cargen.
Mise E. Young, of Opotiki, leaves today by the Aorangi for a holiday tour of Australia. She is accompanying her uncle, Mr. G. S. Moody, Mayor of Opotiki.
Station Hotel visitors include Mrs. M. Melville-Bell and Miss Simcox, of Palmerston North, Mrs. J. A. Greenwood, Wellington, and Miss L. Barry, of Christchurch.
The first Auckland delegates to the conference of the Plunket Society to return from Wellington were Mrs. J. C. Allan, president of the Auckland branch, and. Mrs. A. Campbell, president of the Northcote committee, who arrived yesterday. Mrs. W. H. Parkes also accompanied them as far as Taihape, where she is to spend a couple of days.
Miss Jennie Street, of London, has returned to Auckland after several months in the south. During a visit to tho Christian Endeavour Society of Waitakere, she was presented with a Hag to •add to her numerous collection. This flag, Mrs. C. Wright explained in making the presentation, had been designed, painted and . worked co-operatively by the Endeavourers, and completed with a piece of supplejack brought from the bush as a specimen of a New Zealand plant.
