DAIRY COMMISSION.
AUCKLAND SITTINGS ENDED. After hearing the evidence of 30 witnesses, covering every branch of the dairy industry, the Auckland sittings of the Dairy Commission were completed yesterday, and the commission left today for New Plymouth, where it will open a short sitting on Monday. On Wednesday the commission will sit at Wellington to take evidence, which is expected to occupy ten days, and it will then begin preparation of its report.
The commission first sat on May 7, since when evidence has been taken in Wellington, Stratford, Hamilton and Auckland. Nearly 200 witnesses have been heard, the evidence to date covering between 5000 and 0000 typewritten pages.
