RAILWAY HOUSES.
BENT REDUCTION RULING, (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.. WELLINGTON, this day. A promise to reply at a later date was given by the Prime Minister, Mr. Forbes, when the question was asked by Mr. F. Langstono (Labour, Waimarino) in the House of Representatives yesterday as to when the Supreme Court ruling that raihvaymen's houses wore subject to rent reductions would operate.
Mr. Langstone's question included a request to the Prime Minister to make the reductions retrospective. Ho also asked the Prime Minister to extend the benefit to workmen formerly employed by the Department who would have participated in the restitution had they remained in the service of the Department.
