WOMEN TEACHERS.
An afternoon tea was given' in the Wellesley Street school yesterday afternoon by the Auckland branch of the Women Teachers' Association, the guest of honour being Miss E. Andrews, the leader of the New Zealand delegation lo the Pan-Pacific Conference, and wild is also Dominion president of the New Zealand Women Teachers' Association. The president, Miss Sylvia Andrews, presided, and extended a welcome to two other, delegates to the conference, Miss Papps, of New Plymouth, and Miss Sullivan, of Dunedin. Miss Andrews addressed those present, and in reviewing the position of senior women teachers in regard to salaries, pointed out that they were worse off now than the senior women were in New Zealand 20. years ag« ' V ,
