RETURNED SOLDIERS.
DANCE AT OTAHUHU.
The Otahuhu Returned Soldiers' Association held a highly successful and most enjoyable dance in the Otahuhu Public Hall last evening. There were over 350 people present. Dance music was supplied by McCrory'a orchestra, and extras were played by Mesdamea «1. E. Gillies, W. Jamieson and P. Wheeler. Mr. W. Best carried out the duties of master of ceremonies. Besides dancing, names of bridge and 500 were played in the supper room. Messrs. W. Bright and (i. Nixon supervised the curd tables. After supper Mr. G. Bishop, in a short speech, thanked the .Mayoress of Otahuhu, Mrs. H. T. Clements, and all the ladies who so willingly assisted her in the recent. Poppy Day collections for '.the association. Mr. Bishop also presented the prizes won by the following:—Bridge: -Ladies, Mrs. J. Pinhey 1, Miss Bishop 2; gentlemen, Mr. J. Gardiner 1, Mr. G. Stinton 2. Five hundred: Ladies, Mrs. Baxter 1, Mrs. Salt 2; gentlemen, Mr. Salt. Monte Carlo waltz, Mrs. Nixon and Miss Tabb. Among those present were: The Mayoress, Mrs. 11. T. Clements, and Mosdames F. W.
