UNION COMPANY.
STAFF CHANGES ANNOUNCED. Consequent upon the retirement of Mr. C- H. Hughes, after 55 years' service -with the Union Steam Ship Company. the following staff changes became effective from the beginning of this month:— Mr. A. J. Soutar, manager at Melbourne, to be manager at Sydney; Mr. W. A. Gray, assistant manager at Sydney, to be manager at Melbourne; Mr. J. H. Shaw, traffic clerk at Sydney, to be assistant manager at Sydney. Changes of designations in the following positions have been made:—Mr. J. Neale, local traffic manager, Wellington, tn be assistant manager, Wellington; Mr. H. S. Innes, acting-chief clerk. Auckland, t > be assistant manager, Auckland; Mr. P. B. Cooke, chief clerk. Melbourne, to 'be assistant manager. Melbourne: Mr. L. L Derbidge, officer in charge. Blenheim, to be manager, Blenheim; Mr. W. A. Smith, officer in charge, Picton, to be manager, Picton. Mr. G. H. Morgan, in charge of the trans-Pacific department, Sydney, will retire on July 31. and Mr. F. H. Hamlin, chief passenger clerk of the trans-Pacific department. Sydney, has been appointed to fill the vacancy.
