ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
INSPECTION OF GROUNDS. An inspection of all sports grounds throughout the Auckland district was undertaken by the senior officers of the St. John Ambulance Brigade on Saturday. Parties comprising the following officers did the rounds: Commissioner C. J. Tunks, officer in charge, Auckland district; Assistant Commissioner F. J. Hutchinson. District Superintendent A. W. Probert, District Officer U. Hitchon, accompanied by officers of the corps. Lady Corps Superintendent E. Cammell visited grounds where members of the nursing divisions were on duty. A tally of members on duty and casualties treated was also taken for comparison of a "one-day duty" on sports grounds in this district, as is done with other districts throughout the Dominion yearly.
