MISSING CAR CAPSIZES
CHARGE OF "CONVERSION." TWO MEN REMANDED. Half an hour after it had been removed from Grafton Road early on Saturday evening, a sedan motor car, belonging to Mr. D. V. Gatenby, of 154, Grafton Road, was extensively damaged in a capsize near the gateway of Parnell Park, after it had struck the stonework. Two men who were in the car at the time were not injured. They were detained by nearby residents, after a struggle, and handed over to a constable. The two suspects, Solomon Mundy, aged 33, labourer, and Thomas Stanley Hollier, aged 18, laundry hand, appeared before Mr. Wyvcrn Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court this morning, charged with unlawfully converting to their own use a motor car valued at £125, the pro perty of Donald Vernon Gatenby. Sub-Inspector Edwards said that other charges of a similar nature might follow, and as inquiries had not yet been completed by the police, he asked that accused should be remanded until Thursday. The magistrate granted a remand in each case. Hollier, who was represented by Mr. E. H. Northcroft. was allowed bail in one surety of £-50. *
