ICE ON ROADWAYS.
HAMILTON PEOPLE WARY. • (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Bitterly cold weather was experienced in tho Waikato over the week-end. Roads this morning were covered with a thin layer of ice, rendering surfaces dangerous to motorists and pedestrians. Many residents were forced to clutch the railings on tho , railway footbridge to prevent themselves from slipping. Mount Pirongia presents a magnificent spectacle this morning, over threequarters of its height being covered with snow.
