AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Amateur Athletic Club held its usual weekly competitions in the Domain on Saturday. Results :— 75 Yards Sprint.—Final: F. L. Adams 1, It. H. Pow 2, J. R. Green and L. N. Ross dead-heat 3. Time Ss. Won by a yard. 2000 Yards Steeplechase.—The finishing times were: R. Carroll (655), 7.36, 1 ; C. J. O'Donnell (555), 7.38, 2; J. R. Green (455), 7.43, 3. Throwing the Discus. —Ij. N. Ross, 101 ft Sin, 1 ; li. H. Pow, 101 ft, 2; T. H. McCarroll, 99ft 2in, 3. Putting the Shot.—C. R. Jones, 35ft 9in. 1: A. D. McLcan, 35ft 7Jin, 2 ; R. H. Pow, 37ft, 3. RECORDS BY U.S.A. ATHLETES. VANCOUVER, July 1. At Milwaukee, Bill Bontliron, of Princeton University, created a new world record for 1500 metres yesterday, liis time being 3.45. Glen Cunningham (Kansas)' was second. Jack Torrance, of the Louisiana State University, heaved a 101b shot 55 feet 5 inches, thus establishing a world record. Glen Hardin, Torrance's team-mate, broke the world record by running a 400mctre hurdle race in 51.S seconds.
