WRESTLING CONTEST.
BEY LOSES ON PENALTY FALL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Saturday. In a wrestling match to-night Detton beat Ali Bey, the Turk being penalised for persisting in the use of a stranglehold after the referee had warned him. A fall which was given against Bey for this offence was the only one in the bout, which went the full distance. The wrestling was solid throughout but not particularly spectacular. lATRICH AND SINGH DRAW. SYDNEY, July 1. A fine wrestling match at the Leichhardfc Stadium last night ended in a draw between Tom Lurich and Harban Singh. The contestants used very ounce of weight, power and skill. The match went into the fourth round before the first fall was secured by Singh with a body-press. Lurich obtained a fall in the sixth round. The referee ordered an extra round.
