WINOOKA'S PROGRAMME.
Prodded Winooka travels well on his trip back from America—he is due at Sydney on August 13—there is every possibility of his being sent immediately to Melbourne for the spring meetings there (says an Australian -writer).. His part owner, Mr. A. J. Matthews, said recently that he did not think it would be advisable to race Winooka at the spring meetings in Sydney, and that if he was sent to Melbourne shortly after landing he would have plenty of time to become acclimatised, and would also have opportunities of getting .accustomed again to the reverse way of going. A cablegram had been sent to M. Poison, the horse's trainer, rsking him to secure the necessary certificate from the Bureau o£ Animal Industry so that Winooka's quarantine term may be as short as possible, _ _
