LITTLE THEATRE PLAY.
INTERESTING FROCKING. Although the play "Is Life Worth Living," by Lennox Robinson, which was presented by the Little Iheatie Society on Saturday evening did not lend itself to elaborate frocking along very modern lines, it showed a frothing that was attractive in its simplicity and interesting from a character point of view. The scene was set in an Irish town, where high life was little known and where the coming of repertory players was an event. In the company was Constance Constantia, an actress with a heavy soul who was wiven to "plumbing the depths. the part was taken by Miss Daphne Knigh , who wore in her first appearance a quite actressy frock of black and white spotted crepe marocain, with small black hat brightened with green, a white fox fur and a very fetching flufly muff. A red wig, which was really a very superb wig, most suitable for an actress with a soul, was worn. In later appearances Miss Knight wore a beautiful gown fashioned on Grccian lines, though showing the ultra-sophisticated mode of to-day. It was of a dark brown georgette, and the long, closefitting sleeves were detachable. Tlio draped neck was caught with handsome amber buckles. As Annie Twoliig, wife of the proprietor of the Seaview Hotel ill Innisli, Mrs. Holdsworth wore in her first appearance a frock of leaf green, with the corsage and upper part of the skirt in flora! design. She later wore a frock of black Chantilly lace, with semi-flared skirt. Miss Kathleen Coleman, who played an elderly part, was in a frock of black taffeta made in period style with high, boned neck, boned waist and full skirt. Black beads added a further touch. The part of Christine Lambert was taken by Miss Marie Drysdale, who appeared ' first of all in a smart frock of striped pebble crepe in shades of deep blue and pale blue. Neat little cuffs and a neckfinishing of cream georgette completed the frock. In her second appearance she wore a suit of mustard coloured cloth diagonally striped with its own weave, and a beret in the same shade. She later appeared in a frock of wine colour and cream in plaid design with a cream yoke.
