McKAY-HUGHES CONTEST,
In their last, appearance at the Auckland /Town Hall, both Johnny McKay and Archie Hughes gave great displays of hard fighting, the former' against Holland and the latter against Fitzgerald; and now local fans will, have the opportunity of seeing them opposed, the contest taking place at the Town Hall pn,Monday efeqing. McKay made himself :. a great favourite in his contest in , Auckland earlier in the month, his willing battling bringing the spectators to their feet time after time, while against Fitzgerald Hughes fought brilliantly, carrying the fight to his opponent throughout. If both men reproduce that form Auckland fans will see another fight packed with thrills. Excellent amateur contests, including a special bout between Billy McKay, New Zealand fly-weight champion, and, Kelly, of Auckland, will precede the main attraction.
