LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

INTERPRQVINCIAL FIXTURE.

BOARD OF CONTROL AFFAIRS.

TKAXSFER RULES OVERHAUL.

At the meeting of the Auckland Rugby. League Board of Control,' Mr. G. Grey Campbell .pi - eeiding, the chairman said all arrangements were in hand for the first interprovinoial match of the eeason on Saturday. The visitors would arrive on Friday, and would be met by officials. Mr. Binns was appointed manager of the Auckland team and Mr. l>. Wilkio,' of the Tuakau team, to play Mangere in the curtain-raiser. It was the intention to entertain the Taranaki team at Hotel Auckland on Saturday evening, and the Tuakau team would be the guests of the Mangere Club at Onehunga. L. Hutt was appointed captain of the Auckland team. A protest from the Ponsonby United Club against Newton Rangers—on the ground that Brady, ex Glenora, was unregistered, was dismissed for the reason that ho was on promotion and had fulfilled financial obligations to Glenora. On the suggestion of the chairman it was decided to overhaul the rules relating to transfers and advise the clubs. A provision is to be made that no player can obtain a transfer from a junior club to a senior club and then re-transfer without first obtaining the consent of the two clubs first concerned with the. .player,. In reply to an inquiry from the Otago League with regard to the prospects of a visit by an Auckland team to Dunedin,' it was decided to advise that while at present it was not intended to tour to Otago, details of gates and possible guarantee would be welcomed in the meantime. The Ponsonby Club's suggestion that senior teams be permitted to retire to their dressing sheds at half-time, was favourably considered, but the chairman pointed out that the present practice could be retained and was advantageous, though in special circumstances, such as wet weather, an exception could be made as occasion warranted. Registrations granted: J. D. O'Sullivan (with transfer from Marists) to Devonport; Hugh Brady (with ttansfer from Glenora) to Xewton Rangers. Transfer: W. Johnson, Mangere to City Rovers. Clearance:- j J. Hewson, Akarana to Ponsonby reserves. SATURDAY'S PROGRAMME. Fixtures drawn up by the Auckland Ilugby League for Saturday aro : — Representative Match , ', —Taramikl v.
