TO-DAY'S WEATHER FORECAST

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A deep depression is passing in the south, and a long trough of low pressure extends from it in a north-westerly direction. Barometers are rising over Eastern Australia. The. forecast is for strong northerly winds, reaching gale force in places. The weather will be cloudy to overcast, with rain developing and some heavy falls likely. Temperatures will be mild and seas rough. "WEATHER IN HAURAKI GTTLT. The following report of weather conditions ill the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind N, strong; sea rough; overcast and gloomy, with increasing mist; conditions threatening; visibility fair; barometer falling fast.
